Seems like I'm turning into the weather guy. We are taking a somewhat unusual route to get to Japan, via Honolulu on Hawaiian Air. The latest pre-departure twist is Hurricane Iselle which is heading straight towards Hawaii. We arrive in Honolulu at 11:30am local time and depart for Osaka at 2:25 pm. Iselle is predicted to hit Oahu on early Friday am, so we may be able get in and out before they start canceling flights. We'll know more in the am.
The typhoon heading towards Japan has veered a bot to the west but looks to hit the southern Island of Kyushu and than the Hiroshima area on Saturday, so our arrival in Osaka Friday night should not be affected.
